2002 pitbull. Rode last Sunday in Vegas. Great ride, no issue, parked it, got up Monday for work an nothing. Turn the key and absolutely nothing, no sounds, no needle sweep on the speedo, and no power to anything. Put on charger for the day, and nothing.

Not really had time to start troubleshooting but does any easy check come to mind from anyone. Later tomorrow I plan to get out the voltmeter and start checking volts and power flow. I will chwck battery first, then ground, then what. Ignition switch, since when I turn it I should get something and get nothing,

One last piece, last couple of rides or so. turn key, power on and good neddle sweep from speedo. switch to run, then start and nothing. Recycle switch to run, then start and she fired up. Did this a couple of times before above. Thanks for any help

Does the 02 have a circuit breaker that may have kicked and prevented charge? Do you keep it on a battery tender?

Yea check all the obvious stuff first. Loose, corroded connections not getting anything at all I would start at the battery. Are there any lights coming on, on the EHC?

My 02 did the exact same thing twice this year. Mine was easy fix.

Once I took the seat off, I found a terminal had broken away from the wire.

I was able to crimp it and get it.

This happened on 2 seperate wires (both ground) and I plan to spend some time going over them during the winter this year.

Age/vibration will cause the wires to deteriate (sp?). Even if they all are attached, check if maybe one is hangin on by a few treads that may not have broken.

Good luck.

No Corrosion. Of course I always asume the worst, and after reading the post above I go out, take the seat off, wiggle the positive cable AND IT MOVES!!!! You guessed it, I now have full power and a function DOG. Thanks guy. I do not know when I will ever start with the easy, simple stuff. Thanks again. What a great forum!!!

Tighten up the positive side, no problem. The negative side would not tighten. This is what I found.

New bolts from checker $2.00. There even cool looking BLACK!
