Yes, the ignition has nothing to do with the EHC. Even if you have the Stock EHC in the bike, and have put a aftermarket exhaust, maybe a K&N or different intake all together and maybe even a .600 cam, replacing the stock ignition module with the programmable Thunder-Heart module will open up a hand full of horsepower!

If you have all the above done and running a stock ignition module, your bike has alot more potential HP to unleash even if you have a stock EHC in it!

Anyone providing this little gem already wired for 'Dogs? Pondering; want to just plug in the new module (and coil), but keep a stock unit as a hot spare...

You would have to buy the JST connectors from Big Dog and install them. Otherwise, cut the 3 plugs off your junk stock ignition along with about 3" of wire and solder and shrink wrap the connections.

Here is the stock ignition module:

Here is the ASM5012:

Here it is with the plugs on and installed in the stock location:

As I read through all the postings, i may have bought it for the wrong bike... I have the 2004 Chopper DT.. I have just installed the wireplus system and having no luck with getting the bike started.... Checked the spark plugs and still got NO Sparks.... really need the help before giving up and sending the bike to the dog house!:bang::bang::bang::bang:
