How do you get access to K-9 transmission drain plug?

Started looking over the K-9 to change the fluids myself after reviewing Gas Man's "How To Service" thread. All looks good except my K-9 transmission drain plug is covered by the braided oil lines from the oil tank to the engine. The drain plug appears to be in the same location as Gas Man's thread shows, however his oil lines are routed in such a way as not to obstruct access to the drain plug. My flex oil lines cannot be moved out of the way as the flex changes to fixed piping just aft of the drain plug. Sorry, I don't have a photo to show what I'm describing. Any of you K-9 owners that have changed your transmission oil have a suggested procedure how to access the drain plug? Thanks for the help.

Stand on your head, hold your head in just the right position and get a regular allen wrench. You may haft to cut it off alittle shorter. Use that to break it loose. Then use a ball end socket allen to turn it the rest of the way out.

I use my fingures to get the plug started back on.

The Bulldog is the same way...A real pain in the ass..
Will be user friendly when I am finished this winter..

Anyone know what size allen wrench is required for the transmission drain plug? My oil lines are so close to the plug I'll have to cut the allen wrench very short to get between the oil lines and the plug. Continued thanks for sharing your experience.

Have to agree.....would be easy to simply put a ninety degree npt fitting and plug . Jegs.com is a good place to find nice anodized stuff.

Oil drain, primary drain, and transmission drain are all 3/16 inch (2007 Bulldog).

Thanks for the help. I'll buy an extra 3/16 allen wrench and cut it off short enough to break the drain plug loose. I also plan to buy a set of ball end allen wrenches.

I would do as Gas suggests. Re-plumb it. I've got no trouble getting at my drain plug with the allen wrench on a 07 K9.
