Questions about the dog

1.When I crank the dog on level ground I notice that it wont sit still. (come to think about it, it ran the same way at the dealer w/o moving. Maybe the ground is not level.) It will began to move backwards while on the kickstand while running. Is it supposed to have this much vibration?

2. I'm have a problem downshifting with my foot on the peg at times, most of the time in the lower gears. When I take my foot off of the peg and apply the same pressure on the shifter it downshifts fine. What could this be? Does it also sound like the hiem joints?

Still lovin the dog, it's an awesome ride.

I've got several chips in my driveway concrete from starting the K-9, and letting it warm up. It took me a few times to realize that the dog was vibrating like a jack hammer on the concrete. I think its pretty normal. Mine doesnt move around on the concrete though, but I now always get on the bike, lift up the stand while it warms up.

I never let it sit while idling. The idle goes to low, then the rpm gage flashes, and I am concerned the oil pressure is to low. That's just me, paranoid.

I have seen lots of bikes jump into gear while sitting on the kickstand idling...for instance a few years back my son and I went on a benefit for Crazyhorse ride with Jesse James and his crew and a bunch of others while in Sturgis. We all stopped for a lunch they had set up for us at a restaurant and when we got finished one of Jesse's guys started his bike on the kickstand and it jumped into gear and started doing 160's in the parking lot on it's side...we're all just standing there like a bunch of dumbies and my son at least had enough sense to reach over and grab off a spark plug wire. It sure didn't do his bike any good never mind looking like a total idiot..
Moral of the story....I NEVER start my bike unless I'm sitting on it and I don't let it idle EVER on it's kickstand

Same as most other. She starts moving around ready to go out and play. Never leave it running without my old ass sitting on the seat.
