Keep an eye on Shovelheadkicker on eBay. He has them on regularly. Also I called the Works place and they can rebuild you shocks for a few bucks.

used works shocks

I have a set of works shocks I took off my 2002 Mastiff with 10,000 miles I will sell you for $100. I took them off cause I wanted a softer ride.

And what did you use Tex? I always wondered what choices I had for shocks besides the works...

Softail shocks are pretty standard. They either come fixed or adjustable.

The good thing with Works is that they can rebuild them to your specs; weight (a lot of me!), 1 or 2 up riding or whatever you want.
I need to send mine in this winter.

Thanks for the info Ray. I'll have to get them to lighten mine up when I send them in. There's not that much of me! :D

I was wanting to do mine while I still lived in Oceanside cause I think they are based out of Corona. You were real close to them.

I know, if they're out of Corona, like maybe 15 minutes.

Oh well, I'm still happy to be out of there.

I can stop eating PB&Js to pay for gas now!:D

chrome

I found some chrome adjustable ones on Ebay for $159 that are a little softer. Not sure what brand. I weigh about 190 and if I am accelerating and hit a good bump it damn near knocks the wind out of me.

Be careful installing the shocks cause it is easy to crossthread the round tip bolts.
