SeaFoam for winter storage, ruff running, and so much more

I put the appropriate amount of Seafoam in my gas tank AND in my oil tank before my last ride of the year on Friday. Am I not supposed to leave this stuff in the oil over the winter? If that's the case...looks like I'll be changing the oil again next time we have a day over 50 degrees. If that's not the case and it's okay to leave it in the oil, I'm good for winter storage.

Would somebody please let me know for sure .....thanks!:up:

Are you guys putting it in the carb like the vid says or is that just for the cars. And is there a different type for motorcycles? Because I wouldn't think you would use the same amount for a bike that you would for a car. I've only ever used Sta-bil but this sounds like it does a hell of a lot more than keep your gas from turning into turpentine. I think somebody who uses Sea Foam on their chopper should elaborate more on exactly how they're using it, this would help out the Sea Foam first timers.

I'd use that crap on my $3000 KIA but there ain't no way I am running that stuff through my $30,000 bike!!!

I'd never Dilute oil down in a running engine. I might run it through a tank of gas to clean stuff, but not through the crankcase.

If you run good gas & oil, and change the oil every 2500 miles, that stuff is never needed. Stabil in the gas over winter and starting it up once every 30 days and getting to temp is just fine.

i use it a couple times a year through the carb while running to clean carbon from the combustion chamber.

i ride all year so none in the gas.

i'm with BDM, never in the oil.

I agree with Jake ..."just not needed in oil if you change on a reg basis" But I will say that the sea foam is wonderful stuff and it would not hurt a thing and could loosen carbon from around the rings if you don't already run say lucas:lol: just MHO and when it comes to these topics everyone has a answer.

I wouldn't use it in the oil of any car/bike. In a mower... old mower... maybe. But I am running it in the gas tank right now.

I am using it the same as Gas Man....I put 5 oz. in my tank...top off with premium gas...and I went for about a 8 mile ride...to circulate it through the carb....then shut off...kinda like how you use the stabil.....this stuff cleans your carb and shit out....I also put it in my gas tank on my snowmobile and 4-wheeler... I do not put it in the oil...just the gas tank....my dad's friend use it in the gas tank of all of his stuff...bikes...snowmobiles...4wheelers...leaf blowers...lawn mowers..ect. for the last 3-4 years..and he has not had any problems

Been using it regularly for the pass 10 years. Last Saturday a group of bikers from KC
Kansas was here in Shreveport and one of the guys was havin a problem with his Road King dying and sputtering. Said he filled up 50 miles back and bike started doin it then.
I took him to Auto Zone got a can of Sea Foam, pour a half a can in the bike let it sit for about 30 minites, came back fired it up, let it idle for a few. Shit it was all over then.
Removes water from gas, cleans carbs and injectors etc.
