False Readings

I have just been in formed that Bid Dog might not warranty my oil pump going out witch means that they wont warranty the motor. The dealership download the EHC and said that I have rode the bike conservative. Now big dog says that I have 8 hours of time under 900 RPM and have hit the rev-limiter 52 times. The bike has 1500 mile on it. Has anybody had false readings on the download of the EHC?

Yep, my last download showed like 1 hour OVER 6000 RPM. I have never even had my tach in the red, only a time or two flashed 1 orange light on. All that time built up just since the last download, less than 100 miles prior at the dealer!!!

Something stuck when the Voltage Reg cooked and it kept recording a 6000 rpm reading for an hour.

FKed up if you ask me. The dealer said the same thing on mine. The dealer said" I know you ride conservative, because we have rode together"!!

.......And That is another reason why my bike is now EHC'less!!

Mac, who is telling you BDM might not warrant your motor? Is it the dealership or is it BDM. BDM goes out of their way to take care of their customers. But remember you dealership still wants your business to pay there $80 an hour fee's. I would contact BDM directly.

BDM is telling my dealer. As soon as BDM gets my motor I will know more. The dealer around here is 95 an hour. Its not for sure that they wont warranty it, they just told my dealer that with what they downloaded from my EHC it doesnt look good.

My EHC also showed several rev hits that I know were in error. No warranty issues though.

Same here. Apparently mine showed a few rev hits at my original 500 service, which I KNOW for a fact I didn't even hit orange on the tach once during break in. Unless it was someone at the shop, that EHC download is not very accurate. :job:

Thats good to hear that I am not crazy. If this misreading occurs with more than just me that gives me ammo to fight it if they decide not warranty it.

Yea its a 67 camaro with a blown up 600hp big block. Even if it was running I couldn't afford to even start it, she gets a whole 1 mile a gallon. Any ways I havnt heard for sure on the warranty, they are waiting for the motor to arrive. I just wanted to make sure I had a leg to stand on with other people having false readings.
