Custom linkage from Wicked Image (???)

Short back ground, my K9 is in transit so I can't take measurements off it to acquire the information I am asking. That said, I am looking at ordering a custom linkage for it from Wicked Image and was wondering if any one can give me the correct measurement I should need. (and I don't know if you go from center to center or what) So if any one knows, I'd really appreciate info.

DON'T DO IT

You have to measure your own. There are too many other variations and lengths.

All K9's will be the same linkage.

Now if you are talking a Chopper, K9. and a Ridgeback, they are all different, but the K9's are the same.

Chaingunner, I ordered WI linkage but I have not received it yet (it's only been 3 months!). The center to center measurement (of the heim joints) is 14 7/8 " on my '07 K-9. Not sure about Gas's comment about variations in linkage length. Seems like they should all be the same, but Gas is a knowledgeable guy.

I just got my Wicked Image shifter linkage......and it has been over 5 months when I ordered it.....when I spoke with Arron...he said custom cut ones don't come with heims....so I ordered some stainless ones.....
my length was 14 5/8 linkage itself..and center to center of heims was 16 5/8

So when I order one should I give them the length from center to center of were the hiems would be? I assume that is the only way you could really do it.

Chopper: You must have extended forward controls? Why are your measurements longer than Skid?

I ordered mine through Nelson, and provided the measurements per his specs. I recommend contacting him. I don't know if you'll save any $ over going direct to WI.

got it Chain ... but will wait for your exact measurements. Arin at Wicked Image has asked that we ( Wicked Bastard ) handle the BDM custom orders for him. Keep in mind that it will take around 3 weeks to process once they kick the order off.

nope....I don't have extended forward controls.......don't know why my measurements are longer...thats why they say to measure them heim to heim center.....
here is mine .....with my stainless heim that I had to buy seperate.....

Skid, did you measure center to center?

If so that just goes to prove my point.

As far as what Dave is saying with the custom orders having no heims. I would like to hear Nelson re-check this. Cause it just is BS IMO.

Also, once you have your measurement, it would be prudent to check to see if its close to smaller sizes. This is what I did. The end result is just a little bit of threads showing at the heims on each end.

Arin didn't mention that they WEREN'T doing it Gas .... I went of the posting here and made sure that he included them with Skid's order. Agree though ... that would be a bit of the old BS.

thats what I don't understand Nelson......when I talked to Arin about a week ago....he told me anything custom cut does not come with the heim's.....which I thought was bullshit....being that I ordered my shit the end of March! then when I asked if he can sell me a set of the heims that they use.....he didn't seem to want to sell me them....told me to go to a local hardware store....maybe I will give him a call and find out what kind of answer I get:zwhistle:

I ended up getting a pair of stainless heims for $11.34 a piece:whoop: :up:
