Have an 07 K9 with 5,000 was litterly putting along in town at 35MPH and went to grab a gear. I noticed that my clutch lever only had tension for about half of the normal pull. As I drove it got worse and worse where the lever was basically floppy with no resistance as if the cabe lwas broke.
So I dog legged to a parking lot and shut it down and started inspecting the clutch lever as well as the rest of the bike. Couldn't detect any so I started it up and notice that I had about 3/4 of a pull on the clutch lever so I went home. Just before getting to the house the clutch lever tension disappeared to nothing except for when stopped and pulling the clutch lever all the way in I would hear a grinding noise from the primary case. I drained the fluid in the primary and it appreared to be black with lots of fine metallic flake.
After changing the fluid and such there is no resistance on the clever lever, any suggestions as to if this is a Tranny issue?
