i have an 06 ridgeback. at about 5000 miles, the front wheel brgs went out. had them replaced, within 100 miles, went out again. replaced spacers (inner & outer) and bearings and this time they lasted a couple hundred miles. it stranded me this past weekend again. local BD shop cant figure it out, anyone out there experiencing similar repetitive problems with the front wheels?

only thing I can think of is that your spinning the outer race in the hub. put a couple of good divits in the aluminum about where the outer race sits and smack a new bearing in there and it should help the outer race to not spin. that or the guy that installed the bearing did not do it right twice and beat on the inner race to set the bearing. you either need the tool or the right size socket that hits the outer race or take it to a shop and press the thing in there.
