Will this seat fit???

I found this on Ebay and curious as to whether it will fit my '04 Mastiff.!!! I'm sure someone out there knows.!!!!

I really doubt it would as the newer frames have changed plus a bit wider but Nelson could probably cross-reference it for you.

Sorry Mikie, but ya lost with that response.!!! It appears, to me, this seat mounts just like my stock seat, metal tab and suction cups.!! Am I missing something???

The '06 Mastiff Seat will not fit on your '04. The frame on the '06 has a little bit lower position than the '04.

I would suggest you contact Nelson and have him set something up for you. I just had him complete a beautiful seat for me with air cells inserted under the leather... Beleive it or not even the Ms. BD. enjoyed the ride.

Thanks Can-Dog...That's all I wanted to hear. I would love for nelson to create a seat for my Mastiff. Stock seat is showing signs of time. Does anyone know if the base material for a seat can be formed from a non-conductive material vs the metal base the stock one are made???? I was experiencing some electrical questions with my Scoot, until I cut a old wading boot up and placed this piece of rubber between the seat and the electrical components under the seat. Just a thought....!!!

Just got a replacement 2 up and its a Corbin Seat..... it was actually built with a seat lock in it. We're working to get some alternative seats available for the 2 ups.

May be less expensive for you to go with the Corbin version that BDM used.

Hip, my 03 had a screw tab on the rear so think that 03 and older didn't use the suction cups our later models have.

Also, as far as your battery posts are your lugs still mounted on top of the battery? Most have moved them to the front or side of the battery. Even though the battery states not to use the side lugs all that I know of are using them here. Cuts down on the broken lugs as the seat sets down on top of the battery and eventually wears or breaks some of these connections.

on my 03, I have a metal tab on the front that slides onto a 'receiver' and a metal tab on the rear that bolts to the fender (via a spike ).

My battery posts are on top and it was showing signs of arcing to the metal seat pan.

So, what I did was use two sections of rubber battery pads (the kind that go on the bottom of the battery tray) and looped them over the posts along with some rubber post protectors (the kind car batteries have) and I have zero problems with this. Best of all, it cost me like 8 bucks for all that stuff. I'm at work now but when I get home, I'll snap some pics of my set up for you.

Oh, and there is plenty of room for all this added stuff to include a set of mechanix gloves for those times I want to check my plugs (check my mixture) on a ride stop.

I also ran a leather strap across the length of the batter to keep everything nice and neat.
