Not sure if this is the right place but I have a question. I just talked to Black Dog Cycles about doing the scheduled services myself for the most part, the tech (Zach I think) said no problem but I am missing out on the downloads to Big Dog to log how the bike is ridden and checking the service intervals for the warranty. Is this something I absolutely SHOULD do??? Thanks.

In my experience the downloads are not done for routine maintance. If you have a warranty issue they would most likely download it then.

If you do the services yourself I would keep a record like in your owners manual.

Seems like a lot of the downloads arent correct anyway. I'm sure others can confirm this.

I had a similar question. If you do the normal maintenance yourself (3,000... 5,000 mile services) does that cause any warranty problems.... I can imagine them potentially saying they will not honor your warranty if they do not have a record of your 3,000 mile service with a certified dealer....

anyone run into any problems like this...?
