SeaFoam

A garage must have if you ask me. This stuff is just amazing. I would call "snake oil" if I haven't used it myself and know many others who have done the same.

How To Vid
Sea Foam Usage Video

I know this winter I will be storing my bike with this in it instead of stabil.

Sounds like it should work pretty well. I use a similar product to "Fog" my snowmobile engines before storing for the summer. Prevents internal engine corrosion.

I have used this product before and it did stop some of the pinging. On my service truck (2500HD Chev) they won't let us put in anything but 87 octane. When I get on it, the motor will ping when it shifts to second, everytime. WHen I used this product I tried to make it ping and it never would. When that tank was gone, it was soon after and the motor would ping again. I don't now if I would pour it into my oil though. Seems thin for that

I think they said to put it in the oil 10 mins before changing it...
yeah they did - I was wondering about that too thinking do you have to drain some oil first. Do you just put in the oil filler, let it mix for 10 minutes and then drain with the oil? Presumably this is all it needs to do what its got to do.

You would probably want to use the scavenger system oil change, I would imagine...The product sounds interesting...But, since I don't store my bike for more than a few days here in Ca...At what mileage do you think this cleaning would be necessary or beneficial? I think a "How to" is in order, the smoke reminded me of the pipe wrap video....

We use seafoam down here to clean our boat motors when they've set up too long and for storage. It is some good stuff!

NO, you put it in the oil tank, run the motor for 10 mins then drain/change oil per normal. And I use the scavenger EVERY time I change the oil. If you're not a believer you just need to see it done once!

That makes sense, at the time I watched the tutorial my sound for some reason would not come on. Gas, whats your thoughts about the Lucas product line ( Fuel and Oil).

I've never used the Lucus line... but I have heard good things about it. Some guys swear by it.

BUMP for anybody that is in the last few miles of the season.

Seafoam in the tank... works as a stabalizer as well as many other benifits.
