Does this loosely translate into English as;

"When my lovely, nubile, young love-slave Lisa removed my DOT sticker, they came apart into very small pieces."

??? I really need to get to the UK move so I can understand them :roll: :roll: :roll:
come on over Chacha my door will always be open to you :D

by the way, your translation is spot on :cheers:

Mine came off in pieces so its a lost cause. I am not clear on why I would need it again. I think I have or can get any info needed without it. I hope so anyway because otherwise I'm screwed.

What about a heat gun? I suppose that would melt the paint too. Has anyone tried it w/ more HP than a hair dryer?

OK, So I'm weired.....The stickers don't bouther me.......but the license plate.........well the one that came with the bike is yellow with blue and green writing that says, Super Street Custom Cycles. If it wasn't such a perfect match I wouldn't mind removing it,(knida makes the bike still look brand new). As for the Louisiana Plate, it's in the bitch bag. If they want
to see it, they can stop me! Hell, they have been to busy looking at the bike to even notice.

I'm with you on the sitckers-they do not bother me, beside I like to be different and with so many removing the stickers, I figure leaving it on will make it more custom. Also leave the plate horizontal for I perfer it that way and also do not need to give some local Deputy Dog a reason to stop me to make his day.

Some states will not register the bike without the stickers on the down tubes. Not a problem if you've got the bike registered in your state and are staying put, but if moving to another state, I'd check the registration rules. I was told the state of NJ requires a photo of bike down tubes with the stickers. Mine were off when I got the bike, but it was already registered in NJ, so transferring title was not a problem. I got two new ones from BDM (you have to go through their legal dept). I keep the stickers with the title in an envelope just in case I ever need them when I finally move south. BDM needed a photo of the downtuges and the bikes serial number. It was a real pain in the ass because the photo I sent had a glimpse of my spike air filter and they wouldn't send the new stickers until I replaced it with the original and sent another photo. Fortunately, I had the original air filter and backing plate so I put it on, took the photo, and they sent the new stickers (I think it cost $50 for both). I never did reinstall the spike air filter.

Are all the stickers the same? My dog is a 2008 model and the stickers are tin. they came right off. Did they use a different material in the past?

Mine were a metal foil material too. They are all probably foil since about 2004 and up or older.

Heat gun works great on low setting just heat until you just can't hold you hand on the tube, and they should peel right off.

Mine wouldn't come off so I got a metal cutting torch and now my BD has real flames on it .... now why are we keeping the tag for? If you look between the charred parts you can make out some kind of print ... I think...:confused: :angry: :bang: :rant: :loony: :eek:

I used WD-40 on a towel and the glue came off......had to rub it a few times....but not enough to fuck up the paint
then Wizards Mist-n-Shine on micro-fiber towel
