Interesting service on my Big Dog

Being as I already had my dog in the trailer I decided to drop it off at Full Throttle in Lansing when I arrived here in Michigan for it's 5K mile service.

Turns out they are replacing the Rocker Boxes TP's with the S&S ones. Also needs another new Speedo as my works well but fogged up over night in Florida.
Also a couple other minor things that needed to be looked after. All at no extra charge!

I did end up buying a new air cleaner system to show off my chrome XXX better. Some dual stack monster that is suppose to increase air flow and horsepower. Like I need that!!!!! Anyway we'll see.

It's so nice though to go to a dealer that actually checks for any outstanding campaigns to help keep your bike up......

Al....what kind of air cleaner system did you buy? is it that MO-FLO set up? when you get your bike back....take some pic's.....

What exactly happened with the rocker box replacement??? Did you ask about the change or did they automatically change them out for ya????

UPDATE:

Just got a call from Full Throttle. Seems that the Nylon drive hub is worn and gets replaced under warrantee BUT it needs a new rear tire, rear brakes and rear rotor all not covered under warrantee. Yea I use the rear brake a lot so I'm just gonna get all that replaced being as it is down for service anyway. Oh well, there goes my extra spending money ....

They said they are replacing my rocker boxes with the S&S ones because that is what Big Dog wants, I never even asked about it.....

Al,

Can you do all of us favor and ask your dealer some more specifics on the rocker box replacement??? I'm kinda curious if this is something new because before they were only replacing on a case by case basis only. Are they planning a mass recall / service bulletin??

I'll ask them either today or Monday....They kinda treat me real good because I try to bring in donuts or buy them lunch when I go in...Surprising what good will a simple box of donuts bring.....

Hey Cav, sorry, I have no idea what the cost is gonna be for the service, I'm sure that it isn't going to be cheap.
No I didn't get the Mo-Fo cleaner. He had one there so I looked at it but it looked cheap to me, so I passed on that one and got this other one.

drop my dads k-9 off for the 5000 service, there goin to try to get his boxes changed out. you taken off for florida soon, chris said your bike had to be done by wednesday. im goin to have my 7500 or 10000 service done after we get back from flordia, im hopin to ride a 1000 or so mile while down there. when we get back i will have my boxes changed too. you need to get some of my spike stuff on your bike, you got an awesome lookin scoot.

Naaah, not leaving for Florida until the 4th or 5th but I figured if I told them Wednesday I should have it by Friday...for sure. When are you headed down? Is your Dad going and taking his bike too?
