I visited the local BD Dealer - Steel Dreams last week and they had the new Pitbill/Ridgeback on the floor. I think they look amazing! It's all personal taste though. The new Ridgeback is now my favorite BD - not sure I could deal with a hardtail though.

Travelled to Michigan this week and stopped by American Cycles (the favorite local dealer - not) and sat on a BBC Sled - wow talk about a long stretch - I can't imagine riding this thing. I think Big Dog is on the right track with their new designs but sales will ultimately tell the story. The masses seem to buy the more traditional - Harley Cruiser look.

I dig the tank..very unique a good move for BDM to attract attention to another line of BDM's. That large front tire gives the bike a good stance...probably a good ride through tthe curves.

I did not like it until I saw it in person. The one I saw was black with a black cherry flame job. The bike looked sick:2thumbs:. I think it's one of those bike that you have to see in person to really appreciate.

Any other 08 pitbull riders out there happy... opinion welcome looking to possibly pick one up. How the ride. looking at them the paint job is really important with such a large tank.

Do you think they will put the SS wedge on the 09's

I LOVE my Pitbull and do agree you need to see them in person to realy appreciate it. To each their own

Yuck. Another "hate it" here. Glad I bought mine when I did. I dont know how you can call that a Pitbull. It's just a totally different bike.

Dont get me wrong... as with most of BDMs' models, they're all COOL... just different tastes...

I saw one in St. Louis they described as "dropped 'n dragged."

It had aftermarket drag bars, and a seat without struts that sat flat on the frame.

Made the bike look completely different.

Does your base make you put your base sticker on your downtube??? I have mine on the front side of my tag plate and many others I know put it there also.

Nice looking bike. I posted a thread here somewhere with the new products P8RIOT was speaking of.

 :flag:

I like your bike right in line with what I thinking paint wise but maybe black cherry..

I like the old pitbulls but they look like every other pro street bike. Maybe they should have called it something else but I like the style and the shorter rake,,

How is the ride for the passenger. My wife says she likes the pitbull and likes it hard so... think I'm good.

I didn't like the pictures I saw, so that is why i bought the '07, but having seen some in person, I wish I would have held out for the '08

Thats a good idea. I'll have to see if I can do that. Right now I've got the base decal on a magnetic strip with some tie straps to keep is secure. It gets the job done and makes it easy to remove.

Completely different in a good way?
I just shot an email to Brian at BDM. If they got any Pitbulls at the factory with the drop seat and drag bar kit installed I'd like to see it and sit on one. I'm not too attached to the seat I have now...

first off to the military guys, thanks for everything!!!!!! second the new pitbull is an amazing bike to ride, the guys at everyones favorite cycle mart let me ride one they had. third the x wedge is less then impressive from what i heard from a guy with a big bear chopper with one in it.
