SHOW US YOUR AIR CLEANERS

Just curious on some options and the good, bad, and the ugly about performance on them. I am looking at either the s&s dual runner or the wimmer dual runner over and out with mini spikes.

Regardless of what you decide to pick, ensure that the setup you choose provides sufficient air flow for your engine. If you don't, all of the good looks in the world are not going to get you the performance you will sacrifice. It is a tradeoff sometimes. Do the numbers and choose carefully.

For the time being until I figure out what is best for me to run on my bike, I modified the stock one and put a K&N filter in it.

:hi: neal, you don't get any whistling from those holes on the bottom of the cover? if not, great idea for more intake. :2thumbs:

I like that idea neil
It has worked like a charm. I drilled 1/2 inch holes all the way back to the radius so water would not be able to run in. Does the job fine. I did it at home. I wanted to take it to work and use a Bridgeport to slot it,,

I gotta get some pics now that I finally got this thing on... right after I wash her down.

There was a noticible difference from the stock cleaner in performance.

It sticks out about 1" more than the stock, which might be a problem for someone with shorter legs ?

I have contacted the company on this one because when I saw it the first time I had to have it. They contacted me back the other day and said they only make them to fit Mikuni Carbs that they use on their engines and they might come out with one for S&S in the next 12 months or so. (Maybe)

Oh well, nice looking air cleaner though:
