The topic of batteries keeps coming up, so I thought I would show you first hand why I encourage everyone to use the Deka ETX20L 310cca. First notice the solid terminals. Next, I'm not a big battery tender guy. If the bike has sat for a week or two, top it off with a charger before you ride. In the winter, I charge them once a month or so.
This battery is in a 03 chopper with no compression releases. I've done the maintenance on this bike ever since it was new. The last battery we pull out because it was 7 years old.

It is still starting this bike just fine.
This is another Deka, I pulled out of another bike, that I'm still using as a test battery on my work bench.

Have I had bad Deka batteries shipped to me? Yes, bad batteries happen.
Under a hard acceleration there is 25 g's of vibration at the battery box. Put something in your bike that is designed to handle that much vibration.
That is my soap box vent for today, thanks.
