Another wheel chock thread...

Been thinking about using 2 Harbor Freight Wheel Vises, front and back wheel. Found this Condor chopper chock. Straps will still be used. The vises make me feel a little more comfortable.
What are your thoughts?

Bought a set of ramps from harbor freight and first time I load my bike it looked like a banana. Took em right back. Things are not made that well anymore. Spending a few extra bucks for something that is will be worth it

So, stealing on the post a little, I too purchased. A Condor. Chock And it catches my fender. In the back I thought I found a solution, but to be honest I just stopped using it. Wonder if anyone can tell me exactly what they're doing so this doesn't tear up the bottom of the back of the fender.

I don't know if this will help anyone. But in the garage I put my bike on 5x5" wood blocks and a few mudflaps from a semi. It gets my rear tire off the ground almost 1/2".
I also use the blocks to support my bike while I strap it down in the trailer. I don't use a chock, I strap the front tire directly to the horizontal bar of the trailer.

The biker bar is nice, but I've used this system for years. I do use a chock, but I don't strap at the triple tree. I strap mid frame.

I cress cross the straps to make them shorter, but you don't have to.

My anchor points are far enough out to keep the straps off the chrome and slightly forward to snug the front wheel in the chock. Tighten the straps till the bike squats and is straight.

Then I put a scissor jack under the frame and jack till the straps are taunt.

I like that crossing the straps idea, I hadn’t thought of that, but I will be doin it that way from now on. Thanks.
