Hi everyone, I just bought a 2003 big dog mastiff motorcycle with the 107 S&S motor and GeForce carburetor. Underneath the center cover between the two tanks gas tanks. There is a black plastic covered thing that with a nipple end on it it looks like it has electrical cord attaching something and it’s just laying there randomly in between the two tanks like it’s not being used could somebody please tell me what this part is is what it’s for if you have any idea I’m gonna see if I can send you a picture now

Yeah it was for programming the ignition module. Only the dealers had the program to do anything with it. Think it worked with Windows 2 or something like that.
Hey, I want to thank you for answering my question regarding that black thing underneath the center cover between the two gas tanks. I really appreciate the information. Thank you so much for taking your time to answer my question !
sincerely,

They could pull info from the bike through that port, like how many overrevs. You were only allowed so many before it voided your warranty.
Yep. Back when SW V-Tein was still in business in Michigan, Mike would tell me all about my riding habits when I would take my 2000 VC in for service. % of time at different rpms, etc.
