We all know time & temperature takes it toll on the rubber battery strap. Though inexpensive I decided to get a lightweight racing battery strap, velcro. Good product, designed for general strapping like garden hoses & extension cords. I got it because it attaches to itself. I'm very happy with the results.

1"x16ft Hook and Loop Straps with 25 Metal Buckles, Adjustable Fastening Cable Straps, Cut-to-Length Cinch Strap, Reusable Nylon Securing Cord Ties for Organizer or Storage, 1 inch Wide, Black

Not sure that velcro strap will last. These bikes vibrate alot. The rubber strap allows for some giving and stretching. Let us know how it goes in time

I too have patronize their business' for years. My purchase wasn't about being unable to find the strap, it was about not wanting to keep replacing it. Also keep in mind I have Lithium Phosphate battery. Hense, the OEM strap is too long. I stacked various items under the battery because the strap is too long and not adjustable.
I'm sharing this with everyone as an alternate option to rubber. Not to take from our fellow members. Perhaps they will consider carrying velcro straps?

Is that the NOCO?

if so, I have the same one, comes with adjustable plates. Used the rubber strap fine. It also comes with foam blocks to stabilize.

Yes it is and yes it does. And now because my battery is sitting lower in the battery box I now have a few inches above it in which to carry small items.
I wasn't trying to beat the system. I was merely sharing with everybody what I did in case somebody else wanted to employ the same idea.

Interesting thought about carrying small items. I keep clear glasses under my seat, so maybe I’ll give that a try. Wasting space with the blocks. I didn’t catch treat originally

Where did you purchase the strap from? I could use something like that for a different application, specifically my indoor rower. The foot straps are warn and loosen up as you utilize the machine. Wanting to switch to Velcro.

im guessing it’s pro rated like if i used it for 3 1/2 years and it goes dead???
Good thought. I had my original battery almost two years, they replaced it free without resistance. The replacement died within 2 weeks (electric CRs), they replaced it without resistance.
Now I have my manual CR's and this battery spins my engine like kids running to a candy store. I'm extremely happy with the outcome overall.
But, check the website.
