What is the correct intake manifold for 117

I've got an 04 Chopper that started out with a 107 motor at some point was swapped out with the 117 motor. Has a Super G carb. Intake manifold casting number 16- 2581-s. Seems like there's a lot of space between the intake ports on the manifold and the heads. Should this be the right manifold??

It depends. If it was a BDM 117, it will use a size 410 manifold. If it was a 117 directly from S&S, it will use a 408 manifold. The 117's that BDM used in their bikes had slightly taller cylinders than the 117's directly from S&S. They did this to lower the compression ratio a bit. If it is a BDM 117, it will use the same manifold as a standard 80" evo. They are available just about anywhere. Put your serial number into the look-up tool on the S&S website. It will tell you what you need to know.

Figuring out this motor has been a bit of a problem. It wasn't built by either big dog or S&S. The case left the factory in '06 cut for 4 1/8 inch bore. Check the flywheel numbers with S&S and it is definitely 117. I think the carburetor was taken off the 107 and put on to the new motor Because I had to go up three jet sizes to get it right. It came with TP rocker boxes. Got rid of those put on a new set S&S. I don't remember seeing any other numbers on the manifold. So would a 410 be wider between the cylinders than a 408?

Yeah I knew it wernt right. I'm surprised it sealed up at all. It almost seemed to seal... But but I could tell it was leaking. Subtle changes in the idle, one cylinder running richer than the other that kind of shit. Now that I know what I'm looking for looks like they're going for about 180 bucks new. See if I can hunt up a used one on eBay.
Your help is much appreciated. This place been a big help keeping her going!
