Rocker box issue...maybe

I removed the electric compression releases and installed manual ones, no problem.
Unfortunately after putting the rocker boxes back on i can't get the bike to fire up.
Lots of spark and gas, just won't fire up.
Is it possible the lifter rods are somehow affecting the valve positions? Any thoughts here? I didn't move the bike or do anything other than the releases.

So you removed everything down to the head? What engine do you have? I wasn’t aware that S&S had manual CR’s for their engines. I was thinking it was the electronic or a plug in the opening.

Check compression. If it has fuel & spark. Did you mark the push rods? If you put everything back in the same place it should be okay. How do the new releases work? Press them down? How do they reset?

Ok, I'm going to blame this fiasco on my wife, apparently she backed the golf cart into my wheeled work table spilling the rods and various bolts all over. I am meticulous in laying out pieces in order so left rocker box and pushrods in order, you get the idea. When she picked them up she forgot to tell me and the parts all looked OK. Not so.
When I put the rods back in the longer one went on the exhaust side and shorter to the manifold side.
Fired it up, only running on one cylinder, no compression on the ther one Tore it apart again and swapped pushrods...voila! Like magic
Anyone know a good divorce lawyer .....just kidding!

Still not real happy with the way the bike sounds, I'm thinking of replacing the pushrods with an adjustable set, but i can't seem to find a set for the 107, anyone have a supplier or a kit number? Tx guys.
Curtis @ Wildsteedworx can hook you up. Part# 93-5123 for S&S 107. You may want to pull the cam & lifters if you fired it off with the pushrods in the wrong place. Just a thought. Good luck!
