SISSY BAR FOR PITBULL

Energy One
I bought a 2007 pitbull, and I was told that I needed to buy sometype of bracket to mount a sissy bar on it,they told me the bracket runs like $600,does anyone know if this is true, and if it is,is there any other way around it,I have to have the sissy bar,so my wife dont slide off the back.Any suggestions?

I seen that one coming as soon as I hit the post button:spank: .Open mouth insert foot, but seriously I could use all the help I can get. Thanks

If each of your rear fender struts have about a 1/2" hole (beside the blinker/taillight) facing the rear of the bike then it's ready for a sissy bar. Here's a pic of mine. The hole for the sissy bar has a custom "bullet" in it I had made to plug the hole when I took my sissy bar off...

If they just come to sort of a point with no hole then you would have to buy the struts and the sissy bar as a kit (expensive) and your existing struts would have to be removed and the new ones installed.

If you have the holes, I have a sissy bar!
