I have a red Dakota Digital speedometer, Works good. I'm looking to swap for a blue one.

That's correct it has to be done within the first 100 miles

That's why when buying a motorcycle you need to go by documentation and overall condition . A new speedo is a very inexpensive way to shave 10k , 20k or more off the mileage reading from the odometer.

That’s why I buy from an individual instead of a dealer. Preferably from the forum and someone who seems trustworthy. Mostly you just hope the one you deal with is honest. That’s why sometimes you just get fucked. Hope for the best and hang on. People are inherently evil and stupid. Hopefully you can just deal with those who aren’t. There are still a lot of good people out there.
