Did you check your circuit breaker to see if it tripped?Last night I think my EHC quit. No symptoms or problems starting at all. When we stopped for fuel, when I went to start up there were no lights except for a dim oil light on the speedo and a low buzz from the EHC. Checked battery at 12.7 volts.
First question is - Has ANYTHING been done to the bike recently (Maintenance, washing etc) before this happened?Last night I think my EHC quit. No symptoms or problems starting at all. To start off, the bike had been performing perfectly. No problems cranking or anything weird. The battery has always been strong during cranking. The only thing out of the ordinary was I hit a pothole that jarred the bike pretty good. Today I'm going to check the battery and possibly replace it but I'm pretty sure the EHC is goneFirst question is - Has ANYTHING been done to the bike recently (Maintenance, washing etc) before this happened?
Check the battery connectors are tight.
Remove EHC and clean contact and use dielectric grease and re-install
Test starter by removing green wire and jumping the post to the 12v stud (make sure you're in neutral)

Thanks will do. Yea i just can't believe it would stop working. No burnt wires or smell of electronics shorting out.I would check your connections and do as Jersey suggested. The ehc seems to always start out with weird stuff going on for some time before completely taking a crap. The pothole could have knocked something loose. Best of luck.
Connections all looked good. Just had the battery tested a few minutes ago. The guy said there was only 7 volts. Bought a new battery just hope thats the problem. He also identified the negative terminal was showing signs of arcing. Will soon see later today.I would check your connections and do as Jersey suggested. Oh yeah nothing looked out of the ordinary when I pull the EHC apart. No smell of anything burnt.Connections all looked good. Just had the battery tested a few minutes ago. It seems as though your battery could have shorted or just plain gave out. Regardless , After you put the new battery in be sure to check that the charging system is working. Should be 14-14.5 vdc while running.Connections all looked good. Just had the battery tested a few minutes ago. The guy said there was only 7 volts. Bought a new battery just hope thats the problem.
