Rear tail light fell off......

Friday ....rode for about 4-5 hours....then later on that night ...Doug G and Pig Pen stopped by the house....we rode to Port Huron....no one at the bar there...then we rode to St. Clair.....were they had the carnival and boats for the off shore boat races.....so as I got into town...my right side tail light fell off:angry: thank god it wasn't when we were doing 60mph on river road
it scuffed up the side and bottom of my hooded visor were it hit the belt....I always do a little check before I ride and I wipe my bike down when I'm done riding......must have been mad at the lights:lol: well now I will check them more often....I went to the hardware store....bought a couple of them star washers.....ran down to the Harley shop and picked up another set of the visors with the smoked lens....put on a little loc-tite and now I am good to go!
Thanks to Pig Pen and Doug G for helping me get my light back on so I could get home Friday night.....yeah...got to use my tool roll for the first time....

That used to happen to me on my Harley all the time. My foot would hit either one as I was getting on or off. I must have bought 2 or 3 sets of them, That's why I don't have them on my Dog.

same thing happened to me saturday afternoon after piking my bike up from the dealer for tranny problem except mine left some knarley scuff marks on my pulley and chipped my fender before rippin off from the connecter 1700 problemed plauged miles and my waranty is up next month oh well

actually...I am glad I had the visors on.....if I didn't...I would have fucked up the tail light housing.....at least it was a simply fix....

damn mo.....when mine fell off....Doug G...me and Pig Pen were only putting around 5-10 mph before we got in the parking lot.....so it didn't do any major damage...

Mine fell off right after I got my ridge, put some blue loctite on it and so far it hasnt fell off again.

Also, replace the star lock washer on the inside of the fender
