Starting issues

Hey y'all 04 Big dog chopper try to start the other day it turned over a couple times and then wouldn't do anything and it still won't push the start button and nothing I've had the battery check it's good I took the starter off had it checked it's good anybody got any similar problems information thanks

Ck ur battery connections. Ck ur cam sensor. Ck the EHC plug.

Not sure about the '04 but my '02 wouldn't do anything when you hit the start button. Bad starter relay ($2 part). Previous owner had installed a slam switch. Guess he couldn't figure out the problem. Also, these big inch, high compression engines need a really good battery to start. (Your battery may test good but not have enough juice to start.) I've always used at least a 500cca battery and they usually last about 2 years.

Or pull green wire from starter and jump to 12v and see if it turns over.

yeah I just found the neg. battery bolt was loose on mine.

I had both loosen on the chopper.. after about 750 miles . Never seen it happen but Mick Morris has mentioned it should be a routine pre ride check .
