Unfortunately, it's not going to be cheap. If the EHC burnt, more than likely the voltage regulator went bad and was over charging. New voltage regulator, Deka battery. Get ahold of Curtis at WSW and see about the EHC.

I have replaced the regulator and it was fine it was only when i put new headlight on her that things went south
I have one I can send you out of my ‘04 ridgeback. I am pretty sure it is having issues but not 100% sure if it was causing my problems. I suspect so. But I will send it to you for you to try if you would like. I already had another on the shelf so I didn’t test it. I just pulled it. Lmk.

There were a LOT of bad headlight sockets in BDM's -- First thing I would do is open the bucket and replace the headlight socket with a new ceramic one from Bigdogpartskingpin.com then proceed to trouble shoot from there. Since that was the last change, that is more likely to be the area with an issue or the trigger of the issue.
Unless HDM got some in recently they are out of the ceramic style headlamp plugs. I had my problem start with the headlamp also. Ordered the new headlamp and ceramic plug. Donna messaged me and asked if she could send the plastic one instead because they had no ceramic ones in stock.

If you look at the swap meet forum on here you will see a guy named Knothead who is selling a’04 RIP EHC for $225 that’s the cheapest you will ever find one of those. You may want to contact him. Like I said I think my unit has issues. But am certainly willing to send it to you to try. Lmk
