Benchtop Lathe

I'm looking to get a benchtop lathe to make some parts for me to use on my various bikes. Grips, foot pegs, wheel spacers, and the head breather spacers, nuts bolts stuff like that. So I'm looking at recommendations for a mini lathe or if you have one you want to sell.

Depending on space and budget a lot of these small bench tops are not so good. A 10-15 inch swing will make the same footprint as the bench and you will have a much better machine. There are a lot of used manual machines around. Don't forget to leave room for the Milling Machine.

LOL I have room for a milling machine as well that would be the next item I want. Power in my garage is the next problem just 110 there currently but want to up that to 220. I have a 2 car garage that would fit 4 cars in it. I have 2 Jags in there and 3 bikes as I ride the BD and other 3 need work of some degree or another.

Go to go on most machine work.

You will definitely need the 220 as most of the smaller lathes are 220 Single phase and should be but the older Bridgeports are 3 phase.
I used a Heavy duty Phase-A- Matic Converter for my BP and it cuts 1/3 off the motor's HP but mine has a 2 HP so it's not that much of a loss for what I use it for. I have seen many Bridgeport's on Evil bay so you might try there and find one close. Have Fun
