I'm ready to r&r my plates also. I read the other day that 9-plate packs are better for harder riding because the steel plates are thicker. What does that have to do with friction/traction?

The 12 disc plates are thinner so the steels can warp from the heat.. on the 9 disc the steels are thicker and want warp from the engine and transmission heat as easily...9 disc is all I install for folks on 05 and up models
