I have an 06 K9. Whatcha wanna talk about? Is yours a 117 also? What kinda mileage do you get?

I just replaced my 300mm back tire.. $560. Sigh.

Woodbutcher ->The recommendations I got were not to get Shinko, so I got the Avon Chrome. We'll see how I like this one and then maybe next time try a Shinko. Very few companies seem to make them. When I was looking up 300s.. I didn't even see any 330s (for Ridgebacks and such). They must be even more rare. I guess the cost isn't terrible considering it is like ordering 2 tires in one.

Gotta -> I am going to be swapping my handlebars for a 2007 pair I bought a while back. The 2006 handlebars have a crappy looking bunch of welds.. they are all chromed over like you would expect, but it looks like crap. I would have probably never noticed it, if it hadn't been pointed out to me. Your 2007 has the nice clean metal connections, so you lucked out there.

How long have you had yours?

yeah, main motivator was cost. They wore just fine, handled fine wet and dry so why pay more -- might have gotten a few less miles but up till recently I've been averging 10k a year so I go thru at least 1 tire every 9 -12 months. I generally get 8-10k per tire -- regardless of brand.

Maybe it's the angle, but the front end doesn't look stretched out enough to be a K9. Looks like a Chopper.

The flames are killer. I love the look of a clean good looking bike! Your photographer is aces also!!

I know I posted on this earlier, but I keep coming back to the pic. I really like it.
