Have a 2007 K9 Chopper. Put a new battery in the bike. When I turn the key the lights and speedo light up. When I try to start it makes a light hissing noise and will not turn over. Any ideas what the issue may be?

Does starter relay show good or is the relay inside the black box? Can you put your hand on the starter motor and feel a hissing like a bearing squeak?

Have a remote battery, a set of starting cables, stab the starter motor at the cable stud, meaning, key on, bench test the starter motor and see if the engine will start/run/hear a sustained hissing/key off before it blows up/seizes something?

First I would put the bike in any gear and rock back and forth just to make sure the engine isn't seized. Then I would pull the green wire off the starter solenoid to see if the hissing goes away. If it goes away pull the starter and troubleshoot it. The noise could be arcing that your hearing from a possible locked up starter.
If you end up pulling the starter be sure to disconnect the battery before you begin. FYI starter parts are available for rebuilding at https://wildsteedworx.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_173_82_419

If the bike didn't have starting problems until the battery needed replaced, I would be inclined to think, (A), the new battery is not fully charged, or (B), there is some wire or wires that didn't get reconnected when the new battery was installed. Both easy and free things to check.
