A pleasure talking with a very knowledgeable motorcycle master. Mr. Sachs took time out from I assume a very busy work load, and spoke with me, for over an hour, all about a big engine build I am planning. I can not thank him enough, and just wanted to put it out there for all to read, about a "Great Guy" he truly is. Many many Thanks for your time Mr. Sachs. JJ

John
John, I have a 2007 K9, I have put the S&S 585 cam in and S&S Limited Travel Lifters. other than that stock motor. I do have ticking noise that I know is a common theme on Big Dogs and i also had on my 05 bulldog. Would having any head work benefit me at all? and what would you recommend? I know I have read that the ticking could be worn out valve guides. Mine ticks after it it warm, so about 5 - 10 minutes of running. the sound speeds up with throttle as well. I did attempt to put Rocker Lockers in for the rocker shafts, but they don't fit, i bought the twin cam version and the big twin evo rocker lockers. any help would be greatly appreciated along with cost of head work. I know i would cover cost of shipping. I boutght the bike in January of 23 with 4500 miles on it. Read tons of your posts, so look forward to hearing what you have to say. cell ph- 816-456-4255 or email cokedriver1144@yahoo.com, have a blessed day.
