Nose cone replacement

Hello,new fellow in need of advice.
Working on a friends K9 2008 with ignition issues and was wondering if we could replace the nose cone with an old style one so we can fit a S&S HI-4N or a Dyna 2000i in order to get rid of the ignition module which seems to cause all our problems.
Until now we've checked all the wiring,cam sensor,coil and new sparks everything seems to be in order.Feed the ignition module externally the red light comes on but no steady spark (it comes and goes) when i hit the starter.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as the bike is in Greece and spare parts are difficult to find.

I don’t see why not and there are some aftermarket ones that will work, not sure why the stock cover wouldn’t work ? Is it a clearance issue and Do you have the ignition seated in all they way ?

I think he is looking for a cover with the smaller opening in the center. Mine has a small cap in the center of it.
