Okay - looking for input on suitable air compressors for these lifts. Manual says 90-100 psi @ 100 cfm. 100 cfm??? Gotta be a missprint. Even 10 cmf sounds excessive since all it is doing is driving a ram. Called a reseller (they had no clue). :bang:

What are you guys using. HP, CFM, Tank Size...

I'm running a simple 11gal compressor, I think it does like 120psi. Just grab one from Sears or maybe harbor frieght or homedepot/lowes

Thanks Gas. I am looking at a Makita but I dont want an oversized unit (limited space). This is a 4.2 gal, 2.5 hp w/ a max pressure of 130 psi. CFM at 90 psi is 4.8. My guess is this will be adequate, but curious what others are using.

i think that small of a unit will "hate life" when trying to lift the loaded lift.

I have a commercial comp. and at 90lbs psi its a slow push expecially at the very top. I usually keep it set at 120 psi.

Over and out V.

speedaire 2.5hp 40gal 130PSI @ 90 lbs the jumps up
however I have ran it off my 1.5hp 5gal pancake no issues (just slower)

my thought is to buy the biggest compressor you can afford, with the amount of space you have to store it. you will be able to run all air tools, dry the bike off, blow out the shop floor, even the drivway. maybe do some paint work. also the bigger the compressor the less it has to work and the longer it will live...heat is the biggest killer on compressors. i am lucky enough to have 2 industrial compressors....12hp and 7 hp.....T'd together.

Thanks scfrady. That's exactly the info I needed. As long as the compressor has the 90-100 psi rating it should do the job.

Thanks chucktx. I agree with your setiment (as long as it meets the minimums).
