Yet another Corrective Experience

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
I intended to meet Blacktopper for lunch today (about 1 hr ride) and went to fire up the K9 and it just popped. So I checked that the fuel was on and re-set the start button. Gave the throttle a couple more twists and it refused to start—so I tried several more times and it didn’t fire up or do anything except turn over. I’m thinking what might be wrong—cam sensor—what module crapped out? But Roger also had an hour’s ride and would be waiting, so I drove my car and we had lunch. Got back home and went out to the garage figuring to spend the rest of the afternoon trying to run down a doggone electrical problem. Just for kicks, I tried starting it and lo and behold it fired right up—I had stupidly flooded the engine cranking the throttle where not it didn’t start immediately and got too much fuel in the cylinders. Glad for the easy fix but chagrined at the rookie mistake………
