So two weeks ago I am looking at two plus feet of snow covering my yard and ice covering the driveway. Last week the temps rise to the high 30's and occassionally low forties. Plus it rains, every day, morning, noon and night.

Fridays' rain leads to a cooler, but dry Saturday.

Sunday, well, just unbelievalble!!! Warm, sunny, 63 degrees and dry roads!!! Rolled the beast out of the garage, turned on the gas, three cranks on the throttle, turned the key on and watched the speedo cycle, hit the run switch and then punched the start switch...hail mary full of ....VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!! Yeah baby, fired right up. Sitting cold and lonely since October. Settled into a nice idle. Let 'er warm up while I grabbed my shades, helmet and jacket.

Took a little spin down to the river (St. Croix) on the MN / WI border. Took a pic (below) with the phone. Notice how the river is still frozen! Nice ride, hopefully it lasts!

Well I have not really quit the riding all year, but will say it was very limited for most of the winter. That said did enjoy a very nice day out yesterday sharing the road with the wife as well toured the back roads of Virginia and West Virginia. Took the time to stop by my local shop and even ran into another BD Member and riding buddy-Steve aka Toomanybikes. Got to se his new Ultra-very nice.

We got talking and with the weather starting to come for the better, need to get a NE/SE ride group together very soon for some appreciation of the scenic back roads of the area.

Hope everyone else is able to enjoy their rides when they get them as much as I did on mine.
