I know this is a longshot but does anyone have an extra one of these they can part with or know where I can find a good price on one.

Ditto, should have seen the look on the sales guys face when I asked if he had a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter since I needed to use it on my impact wrench :D

I've been to Sears but didn't see anything deep enough to go over the shaft. Did you find it in the store or online?

I got the same one that Alhall88 mentions off ebay for 111 delivered but I do not see one on there now

You can just cut the top off the appropriately sized socket, and have the bottom half welded to one end of a pipe, and the other welded to the other end of a pipe. You can do the cutting with a cutoff wheel, and take it to a machine shop or muffler shop to have it welded. $60 is cheap though for a new one. I use a big adjustable wrench for mine.
