I am in need of the jack shaft in our bdm starters. Sheared mine in half. Anyone got one for the spyke starter for sale......Also interested in a starter clutch assembly if you got one laying around.

Just me but I would intall new parts here, pain in the ass to get to and you dont ever know what your getting used. if it was a non wear item certainly but not these.

I have got inquires out for a new jack shaft. Seeing how it is a machined part I would have no problem putting a used on in my old starter. My hope is that someone would have a old starter laying around that both piece could be used together for a good price. All I need is the jack shaft. I bought another remanufactured starter for $100. A starter clutch from drag specialties is $80 or from spyke is $125. I do not know what the jack shaft would cost yet. A remanufactured starter could have used components of each so what is the difference. It is to rebuild my old one.

Im probly going to look like an idiot here, but your talking about the shaft that springs out from the starter to the large gear inside your primary right? If so then I have my factory one off of my 04 ridge. I installed an open primary and used a aftermarket one. So if this is what you need then PM and give me your info and ill just give it to ya

That is not the same though..
For the good news, Big Dog warrantied the starter that broke and I am going to Nashville this morning to drop it off. I already bought another starter off eBay so I will have a running spare now too.
