WP vs EHC

I keep seeing everyone is changing EHC's out to the Wire-Plus unit, Sounds fairly easy, just wondering what the reliability is compared to the Big Dog part.
Has Anyone ever re-pinned the ThunderHeart 4250-D EHC to fit?
I have an 03 Bulldog I'm trying to get back on the road and considering both options.

The 2003 and older Dogs take a different Wire-Plus module. It is plug and play other than hooking up the 8 wires to the dash panel idiot lights.

And basically... There is no failure rate. They are very, very reliable!

There ya go Skip! Doesn't get much easier than that. I did my wife's '03 Mastiff and like Jake says, just unplug the 3 connections from your old system and plug them into the new Wire Plus. Then wire up your dash lights and you're done. :whoop:

My 04 Pitbull runs so much better after the WP change! Just seems crisper at the throttle.

Is that a common response....that a bike running the Wire Plus will run better too? The dependability I can see but another benefit is it runs better? Not arguing, just wondering. :D

Could be all in my head, but I swore I notice something "more" at the throttle.

Thanks for the info..
Sounds like the way to go to me...
Even the factory guy in Kansas is recommending them, says B/D won't have a solution til after labor day.

Installed the WP-375 Yesterday, was plug and play, easy install and all was fine for 10 seconds.
It seems the speedo sensor must be a +5v sensor, supply the WP's +12v and you get smoke.
Considering that sensor is buried under a Baker Firestarter, I got to pull the primary, drain the engine oil to get the oil tubes out of the way, slack the rear wheel to get the belt out of the way and remove the starter today...
I put the Original Big Dog starter back in so I dont have to do that all again, but I'm guessing I'll have to add some compression releases to the 107 since it just doesn't want to spin with that original starter.
As for the sensor, it stunk so bad I hung it in a bush way out in the yard...
Ordering a ThunderHeart billett sensor tomorrow... almost wish now I would have reworked a ThunderHeart EHC.
