... The suspension may be lacking just a bit, but nothing too bad. ... As in the reviews I've read, you can actually ride this thing through the curves pretty good. It takes a little more force to get her leaned over, but then it stays steady through the corner. ... I can't wait until it's broken in so I can really open it up. One other thing, this thing does heat up really fast when sitting in traffic. Then the EFI temp control will kick in and it will sputter pretty bad until you get her cooled down again. That may get better as it breaks in though.
I agree with you on the suspsension, it surprised me a little and I'm still not sure why it's not a little better considering the setup. Even the front end gives me some pretty good unexpected jolts occasionally. Equally surprising however was how well it does work the curves once you've gotten used to the feel of it. I wish the pegs folded a little easier when they start grinding but so far I haven't hit anything solid so that's good. I also noticed how much hotter it gets then previous motorcycles but when you look at how much larger the fin area is and how slender the tank is by your thighs I guess it makes sense that you'd feel the heat disipating over you even more. I haven't had any kind of sputtering even in 95 degree temps and stop and go traffic though. I wonder if that's a result of the CLVEFI not being able to adjust for your intake and exhaust enough?

By the way, I guess your dealer put those on before you bought it last week? I asked mine to put on a Wimmer intake when he had it for the 500 mile and he refused and said he wouldn't even install the V&H BR even if I bought it from him and it came through BDM. Talk about paranoid, he thinks Big Dog is out to get him and looks for any reason not to pay for warranty work. I sent you a PM the other day by the way.

You may be right there. Auto tune has its limits and I asked both BD and S&S about having to adjust the map a little bit. BD said call S&S and S&S said maybe. I should be able to use the pro tune software and make some adjustments if needed. It runs fantastic otherwise and it was extremely hot the day I got caught sitting in a few traffic lights. The sputtering only lasted a minute or so until I got cruising again.
