wire plus question ?

Hey forum,If you do the wire plus install then later you decide to change handle bars and controls to like climax control or harley type will this still work or will you still basically have to rewire whole bike just to change handle bars ?

jake can answer that but from what i seem to remember you change controls and bars but there was either one or two more wirs you have to do,again i seem to remember:roll:

The Wire-Plus WP374 kit comes with two separate modules. One is the Lighting/Ignition/Starter control module and the other is the Handlebar Control module.

If you decided to change up bars down the road, you could change just the handlebar control module by buying the HD module from Wire-Plus. BUT, you will probably have to pretty much rewire the entire top end of the bike to do those controls without a big BDM to HD control solder/adapt issue.

So, I would say, make up your mind before you buy the Module, because if you have full intentions of changing the Handlebar controls, you would be further ahead to buy the Wire-Plus comnplete backbone harness and chassis control module and completely rewire the bike.

Thanks jake,I dont want to change controls i was just thinking after i do the install and the hand control boards go to shit like some guys have had i just dont know how easy these boards are to get or fix just thinking of saving aggravation down the road with easy to obtain parts.

Jake's right. Decide before -- I gutted all the electrics on mine when I switched to the Wire + - hand controls included
