I just bought the Taylor 409 Pro Race 10.4MM spark plug wires for both my 06 Mastiff with the 124 C.I. motor and 09 Bulldog Bagger. I have read where some ppl have had no issues with these wires on the Carb'd bikes and some have, but I've not seen alot about the EFI bikes. On the 06 Mastiff I have the Gen I stock EHC, never had no issues (knock on wood) and a programmable thunderheart igintion, the bagger has stock EHC, but unlocked VFI from S&S. If I put these wires on my bikes should they work without issue?

The VFI’s won’t care, not sure about the EHC.

For the record, the EHC’s between EFI and carb are virtually the same.

You can actually run a EFI on a carb bike. It just passes a couple more circuits on to the VFI.

Are you saying a coil won't care about who is sparking whom, as in a set of points or a crank sensor, I'll agree.

Here is where I question input sensors feeding input to calc the output signal, i.e., does it have throttle position sensor at the carb. Then I agree. Just swap an ehc to a carb, no/tps? Then the ignition curve goes limp, or a backup output happens to calc the lost input signal.

Now a vfi is not a coil? Then, limp parameters are going to limp said ign curve, no tps, no matter the black [calc] box.
