I've got an 05 Chopper in my garage right now that was stored in a storage unit and open air garage for the past few years, and I can tell you the elements have not been kind to it. I'm in the midst of fixing a gas tank that's rusting inside, various leaks, and rotten bushings/seals all over the bike. Everything squeaks and rattles, and there is rust and corrosion all over it. Brittle wires, etc. Do what you think is best, but if you think you are going to treat one of these things like a Harley you're in for a rude awakening.

I could do it, but then again I've had a lot of practice squeezing large objects into really tight places if you know what i mean

As I said in my original post I only plan to store it in one of those units for a month, two tops. I would never consider keeping it OR the Harley in an open air garage! I certainly hope it won't go to hell in that short of a time!

I'm going to do what I have to do right now, I don't have any other choices. Guess we'll see what happens.

And if I'm wrong in my decision... well, it wouldn't be the first time I was rudely awakened!!!

Thanks for the concern,

Dennis

Thanks for the comments on the basement, wife and I finished it ourselves. Unfortunatley the Dog is in the Garage now...she was just there while I was playing in the sand. But I ride whenever I get a chance. SUN I took my daughter to the movies it was 41 when we left and 39 on the way home, nice little 50 mile round trip ride.

As for the plant I wish it was Mary...not for about another 10years.:bang:

Hey Barnhart.... Where abouts in Cleveland are ya. I live in Streetsboro, about 30 mins south of there. You might want to check out the HD dealer by Randle Park, they may charge you a little bit but if you not going to keep it there long, it may be worth the price. I would offer to keep it at my place, but mine is not heated, and I have my mine at a friends that is secure and heated but I cannot offer his space for ya. Dont think he would go for it.. But ill ask

I'm out by the airport. Know right where you're at!

That's not too close to me but I will give my local Harley shop a call and see if they can do something!

I appreciate the thought but wouldn't want to impose, especially on new friends!
