Will it fit???

My K-9 will be on it's way as soon as I can make space for it!

Because it's the dead of winter here in Ohio and I have tons of stuff all over my garage I'm going to put it in one of those "U-Store It" places for a month(?) or so.

In deciding what size storage area is required I need to know if it'll squeeze through a 3' wide door (I know the Fat Boy wouldn't!)? Or will I have to go up to the next size which is 8'? (Both are 10' long.)

Thanks,

Dennis

To my knowledge (not much!) you can't put a motor vehicle in those small units due to the gas and oil in them.

Check that out first.

It says a motorcycle will fit so I'm assuming they know that there's petroleum products involved...????

The problem is they don't say what kind of bike will fit!

I'd clean out the garage and put that stuff in the storage unit.. and put the Dog in the Dog House were it belongs.. :2thumbs:
Or you can just bring it to my Heated Garage and it can keep the 2 in there now company :D :D
SE Mich 20- 25 minutes from Toledo.. :2thumbs:

My 05 Chopper will fit thru a 36" wide walkin entry door, that I do know. Maybe somone on here knows if the Handlebars are the same width ??

I'de go with Kam's advise but the brake and clutch lever are about 34", the mirrors will have to come in they measure 39" and maybe the license plate.

Dude....don't be surprised if it ends up missing. I could tell you a story but I'm not in the mood.

Had a 68 Camaro stolen from a storage unit back in 1999. Always keep your most expenisve and prized possessions under your own roof if at all possible.

I live about 10 miles closer to Toledo and I would rather see it stored at my house even.... I live 30 miles nrth of the board.

I appreciate all the concern and offers of parking in a nice warm garage (from Kam and Chris), you guys rock!!! The problem is Cleveland is at least two hours from the Michigan border.

If the K-9 is worthy of the name "Big Dog" and it's moving up north with me it's going to have to toughen up and grow a winter coat!!! I've never had to baby the Harley in the 14 years I've owned it and I have no intentions of starting now with the Dog...

Thanks again,

Dennis
