Will Dakota Digital work with BD medallion speedometer ?

I read through the forums on this subject but could not find the answer. My 2010 K-9 came with the new medallion speedometer. Earlier today while picking up my bike at the shop which I'm happy to say is running perfectly now, the owner was able to order me one of those Dakota Digital Speedometers for about $230. A few minutes ago I was reading up on the Dakota some more and it mentions that the Dakota retains the use of the Big Dog factory tachometer. I've got the impression now the Dakota wont work with my speedometer because it's different than the earlier Big Dog speedometer models which is what I think the Dakota was intended for. I've included a picture of what my speedometer looks like. Does anyone know if the Dakota will work with my speedometer?

It will not fit the speedo housing unless they made one specifically for the medallion replacement. If not, you will have to get the pre-medallion speedo housing, tach board, harness, and mount in order to make it work.

Looks like it will not work.
If you look at the earlier speedo assembly you will see the warning lamps and tach surround the speedo. The Dakota only replaces the speedo and not the surrounding ring.

That's what I thought after comparing my speedometer to that of Big Dog's earlier speedometer just a few minutes ago. I really liked the digital numbers on the Dakota but if it wont then I'm need to call and cancel the order. Thank you for confirming this.

Or I can send you my speedometer and housing ,you send me the medallion and you can put your little digital speedo in there!!!!! PM me if you want the deal...My bike is an 07,right up your alley!!!!!
Of course I have no problem kickin in some loot also...

You should be able to change the rpms/speed from analog to digital. You can only have one at the time in the digital mode. I just installed the medallion on my 07 Bulldog and like it alot better than the old setup and no fogging.Just an opinion would be to keep the medallion.
