I've owned my 06 K9 since new (basically, had 240 miles on it) and the lack of an oil pressure gauge has always bothered me. I saw a thread some time ago about the 'cup' Curtis had designed to fit over the standard Autometer gauge and finally decided to pick one up last week. I ordered one, communication was impeccable (which is damn nice given today's online marketplace) and the parts arrived in 3 days.

When it all got here I started trying to put it together. There's a rubber 'gasket' that he's added to the kit to keep the plug (terrible design autometer) from popping out. Well...during my shade-tree mechanic tinkering I got the gasket over the gauge, but didn't pull that little plug out first--oops, didn't know that! The end result was a mess, a busted gauge (plug went inside the housing) and an all around disaster. So, I emailed Curtis asking for some help. He didn't offer any, nope, not one bit. INSTEAD he just said "I should just make these up before they go out, they're a hassle and if not done perfectly they make a mess. I'm sorry (he's sorry?) I didn't do that for you. So, just send them back to me and I'll make up a new one today and zip it out to you ready to go.

Seriously? I broke this damn thing and he's going to send me a brand new one and eat whatever I messed up? Wow, can't beat that! (I sure hope you can get the gauge replaced through autometer).

In the process I noticed on their site that they sell new urethane bushings for our handlebars. I shot him an email, had him send me a Paypal invoice for the bushings and he included them in the shipment back to me with the new gauge and cup.

Also, the brake pads he has on his site were out of stock, he offered up a different brand which he said are just as good but a bit less. I ended up buying another set to keep in the toolbox.

So, in the end, I ended up with some much needed parts, a much desired part, screwed it up on my end and he worked with me to make it right.

I will NEVER go anywhere else for K9 parts. If Curtis can't get something, fine, but damn he sure makes doing business with him easy.

Two thumbs up for Curtis and Wild Steed Worx!! Let's all keep this guy in business!

Thanks again Curtis, I sincerely appreciate your above and beyond help.
