Who is running a Tech Cycles Starter?

I've got a friend who has a Tech Cycles Starter in his K9. Twice the housing cracked until he came up with a rubber support bracket, then he started breaking jackshafts. He just broke his 3rd jackshaft this morning. Anyone else running a Tech Cycles starter having any problems?

There was a tech cycle in my AIH. The internal gear got chewed up and gave me the zing noises. I switched to Ultima Thunderfire. Ive read nothing but good things about them and they are 1/3 cost of some starters. Its been running like a champ for me.
