where is the gas filter?

I have a '07 Mastiff. Can anyone tell me if there is a gas filter. I was reading one thread that was talking about one in the gas tank -- is that true? Is there any other in-line filters -- that should/can be replaced every year or so? Just wondering since I will want to replace if needed. Thanx guys.

Steve,
There is a filter (plastic & mesh screen) which is part of your petcock (that's the thing that you use to turn on your fuel in the front of your gas tank). It requires *occasional cleaning.

*check your service interval requirements.

I don't believe there is an in-line fuel filter, I know there isn't on the 2003 models. Many people on here have installed their own in-line fuel filter. I installed my own fuel filter and re-routed the fuel line to prevent vapor lock. It is really easy and cheap. FYI the fuel line is 5/16".
